Organic coffee is coffee that has been produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, or other harmful chemicals that threaten the long range sustainability of soils, ecosystems and groundwater supplies. Fair trade coffees refer to organizations who work with a co-op of coffee farmers to ensure that the farmers receive more than their fair share for a pound of coffee.
